Our NJROTC Cadets assisted the American Legion Post 109 in Corona De Tucson this morning, Saturday 17 Dec 2022, with their Produce on Wheels-Without Waste (POW-WOW) community event. They arrived before dawn to help sort and distribute produce for the community. They also helped with post event clean up.

This weekend, NJROTC held their first ever Army Navy Flag Football game. The event was a success. Unfortunately our Navy JROTC Cadets lost to the Army JROTC Cadets from Cholla High School (just like the real game played this weekend between the Naval Academy and West Point). It was a great experience for the cadets from both schools. We look forward to continuing this tradition next year! Also on Saturday our NJROTC Marksmanship Team competed in the JROTC NRA 3-position air rifle sporter and precision state championship held at the Ben Avery Shooting Range in Phoenix. Our two NJROTC teams excelled placing 1st and 2nd in the championship.

Cienega Academic Decathlon had their first full competition over the weekend and the following students placed in the top 5 of their category: Jolie Albert, Connor Allen, Andrew Barnes, Sina Botner, Trevious Cranz, Grace Daniel, James Loftus, Raedin Ralston and Ethan Rettig.
